The myth which coils round Ursae Majoris−おおぐま座にまつわる神話−

| Myth which coils round Ursae Majoris It is said that Ursae Majoris is the
figure of beautiful fairy Callisto sticking in goddess Artemis. Callisto
has realized having received Zeus Ogami's love and having conceived the
child to Artemis, and it has been changed into the figure of a bear. Soon,
although Callisto bore a child called ARUKASU, when it met in ARUKASU and
woods which became people, the mother shot Callisto with the arrow to
not knowing, and was taken as wax. Zeus Ogami who was looking at the situation
on heavens pities two persons' fate, and he winds up to the sky and says
that he made it the constellation of the parent and child of "Ursae
Majoris" and "Ursa Minor ." However, two constellations
HERA of the princess of Zeus who was jealous by seeing Callisto and others
who became a constellation so that it may go into the sea once per day
and cannot rest Since God orchestra ANOSU of an ocean is asked and it has
been made to travel north empty, it is said that it became the fate which
must continue turning around the sky day after day, without the ability
not sinking in the bottom of a sea surface like other constellations, and
taking rest. |
| おおぐま座は、女神アルテミスにつかえる美しい妖精カリストの姿だと言われています。カリストは大神ゼウスの寵愛を受け子供を宿してしまった事をアルテミスに悟られ熊の姿に変えられてしまいました。やがてカリストはアルカスという子供を産みましたが、狩人となったアルカスと森で出くわした時、母とは知らずにカリストを矢で射ろうとしました。その様子を天上で見ていた大神ゼウスは、二人の運命を哀れみ、天空へと巻き上げ『おおぐま座』と『こぐま座』の親子の星座にしてあげたといいます。ところが、星座となったカリスト達を見て嫉妬をしたゼウスの妃のヘラは２つの星座が、１日１回海に入って休む事が出来ないように、大洋の神オケアノスに頼んで北の空を巡るようにしてしまった為、他の星座たちのように海面下に沈んで休息を取ることができずに、来る日も来る日も天空を回り続けなければならない運命となったといいます。 |
